LA GRANGE — The Fayette County Country Music Opry hosted its monthly music fest with musicians Steven Kidwell and David Lewis on March 20 at the KC Hall in La Grange. The country music got the audience’s toes tappin’ and smiles a mile wide.
The house band played while Kidwell sat in the crowd to enjoy the music. Kidwell knows what the audience likes because he is part of the audience. David Lewis, who hails from Bellville, plays old-time favorites that make everyone feel as if it were yesterday. Unfortunately, Missy Brown had to miss her debut on stage due to an accident that left her unable to take the stage.
The hall was filled with country music fans. The opry is not just for older folks. The musicians that perform there play a wide range of country music songs. The next opry event will be held on April 17 with entertainers Julia Springs, Mark Mach and Ken Brothers. Who knows. you may be seeing the next country music superstar on stage.
