Sealy Sgt. Palmer retires

SEALY – The City of Sealy announced the retirement of Sealy Police Department Sgt. Fred Palmer. He has served as a police officer for 28 years.

SEALY — The City of Sealy announced the retirement of Sealy Police Department Sgt. Fred Palmer. He has served as a police officer for 28 years.

According to the Sealy PD, after graduating from the police academy, Palmer’s law enforcement career started with the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office in 1993.

He made his way to the Sealy PD by way of Wallis PD and the Austin County Sheriff's Office. He settled in at Sealy in 2000 and made it his professional home until 2023.

At Sealy, he served in many capacities within the police department. He served as a field training officer, bike patrol officer and patrol sergeant.
