RESS COLUMBUS - The Easter Bunny visited the Columbus town square last Saturday to bring smiles and surprises to kids young and old. The Annual Easter Egg Hunt was sponsored by the Columbus Chamber of Commerce which helped the Easter Bunny in putting out approximately 6,000 eggs in three separate areas of the Colorado County Courthouse Square.
The three corners of the square were taped off and separated for different age brackets (0-3, 4-6, and 7-10) and the big kids waited patiently for the littles as the hunt was done in turns. There were more than enough for each hunter to have a huge haul of eggs and surprises. Each egg was filled with goodies, and hidden in the mix of colorful, plastic eggs, were very few golden eggs! Snacks, treats, drinks and extra bags were also provided by the chamber for all who attended.
