COLUMBUS — Local recording artist Darrel Appelt played to a packed house March 30 at the Live Oak Art Center In Colum- bus. He was the first in a Singer/ Songwriter Fundraising Series for the Live Oak Art Center.
Appelt sang the night away with all original songs and was accompanied by guitarist and singer, Phillip Brummett.
Appelt, who is also a KULM radio celebrity, was happy to donate his time as all the proceeds from ticket sales went directly to the Live Oak Art Center and raised money for art classes for kids and adults in the summer months and beyond.
The art center hopes to continue the series with more local singers/songwriters, and with more fundraisers, more opportunities for kids to learn will develop.
