WALLIS - A public meeting will be held that is open to the public on Tuesday, April 11, at the Wallis Columbus Club Hall located at 703 Columbus Road in Wallis. The meeting will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The public is invited to get an overview and to share its opinions about he Rails to Trails.

Five local governments-Aus tin County and the cities of Eagle Lake, Fulshear, Wallis, and Weston Lakes—have joined together as a local government corporation to plan and build a 31-mile shared-use trail along a former rail line alongside Farm- to-Market Road 1093 from Ful shear to Eagle Lake, connecting several Texas towns along the way. Together, these municipalities envision a shared-use trail that is safe and accessible for cyclists and pedestrians.

This will be the publics chance to learn more about the project and provide feedback that may be incorporated into the design and branding of the trail. The structure of the meeting will be the same as the first meeting in March in Eagle Lake, but the conversations will be different as participants ask questions and provide input.
