LA GRANGE — During the regular meeting of the Fayette County Commissioners Court on March 23, the following actions were taken:
• Accepted public comments from Eugene Neimeyer & Deborah Frank concerning the status of St. Mark’s Hospital. Fayette County Judge Dan Mueller reminds the public that the County has no control over the hospital. Mueller says “I encourage the ‘powers’ at the hospital to organize and conduct a public meeting so the people know what is going on.”
• Signed proclamation proclaiming April 9-15, 2023 as National Public Safety Telecommunicators’ Week in Fayette County.
Kim Haba, Emergency Communi- cation Officer (ECO) Supervisor, ECO Terrell Klimek, ECO Samuel Velasquez and ECO Priscilla Dierschke were on hand to accept the proclamation;
• Approved request from Main Street & Tourism, City of La Grange, on behalf of Feed the Need Missions, to use the Courthouse grounds as listed on attached request form for the following event: Texas Burger Bash – Saturday, April 15, 2023. Khalil Coltrain and Kevin Ulrich were in attendance;
• Accepted the donation of hangar #5 owned by Barbara Pereira located at Fayette Regional Air Center to Fayette County;
• Accepted all bids and awarded a bid to Chano’s Construction for the repairs to hangar #101 located at Fayette Regional Air Center; • Accepted report from Fayette County Sheriff's Office;
• Accepted report from Josh Vandever, EMS Director;
• Approved Clinical Rotation Agreement between Cordial Emergency Medical Services LLC dba Cordial Fire/EMS Education and Fayette County EMS;
• Authorized Josh Vandever, EMS Director, to purchase consoles for the EMS supervisor vehicles in an amount not to exceed $9,000.00;
• Approved the purchase of a used self-contained trash compactor from Waste Equipment Sales Company in the amount of $18,900.00. This trash compactor will be used at the Warrenton recycle Center site;
• Signed a Resolution Authorizing the Disposition of Salvage and Surplus Property, in accordance with Local Government Code 263.152-158, with said property to be used as trade-in value;
• Approved the purchase of a new 2023 John Deere 624P Loader from RDO Equipment Co. for Precinct 4 Road & Bridge;
• Acknowledged and signed letter from TxDOT regarding a bridge replacement project and roadway closure on FM 154 at Pin Oak Creek Bridge (Precinct 3), project is scheduled for July 2023 letting, construction starts 2-3 months after the letting date. The roadway will be closed for about eight months;
• Adopted and signed three Resolutions for the replacement or rehabilitation of County bridges that are 'off the state system', concerning the following Federal Off-System Bridge Program Project: Kruppa Road over Williams Creek Trib, Fosters Creek over Fosters Creek (Pre - cinct 4), and Klatt Road over Jacks Creek (Precinct 2).
