BELLVILLE — The doors opened for the public March 30 to see a historic event in historic Bellville.

Brahmas on the Square, located at 2 E. Main St. in Bellville, officially cut the ribbon which features a student-run store, a student-run restaurant and classrooms that engage the experiences outside the traditional class.

The learning center will house six industry-based career and technical education programs. Culinary arts, entrepreneurship, art and graphic design, health sciences and law enforcement are the six education programs that will be taught at Brahmas on the Square.

The beautifully appointed building has a museum that showcases Bellville and BISD. Student-made items are for sale.

The Culinary Arts department has a full-service kitchen and will be open to the public by reservation for one day a week. The Bellville High School culinary arts students will prepare and serve the meal.
