COLUMBUS — Columbus Community Hospital has been named a top 100 rural and community hospital by the Chartis Center for Rural Health. This is the fifth year in a row the hospital has received this national recognition.
“This recognition is due to the incredible work of every single member of our team,” said Columbus Community Hospital CEO James Vanek. “I’m so proud of our teams at the hospital, clinics, and wellness center, and how we work together to advance care for everyone in our community.”
Columbus Community Hospital is growing with Columbus and the surrounding communities and has made investments in new services, new physicians and providers, and expanded and renovated facilities.
The Columbus Community Hospital Wellness Center opened in 2022 and offers group and in- dividual fitness options and to tal wellness programming that includes the diabetes prevention program, the Be Well weight loss program, and the Friends of CCH social program.
Last year, CCH welcomed a second orthopedic surgeon, and this year will add new primary and specialty providers to the care team.
At a time when many rural hospitals are experiencing challenges, Columbus Community Hospital is expanding its services and remains steadfast in its commitment to meet the health care and wellness needs of Columbus and surrounding areas.
Each year, the Chartis Center recognizes the top performing rural and community hospitals that achieve excellence in providing high quality health care and improving outcomes for patients.
The top 100 award is based on results from the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEXTM, a comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance.
