WEIMAR — Sgt. Josh Jones was at the police department when a subject knocked on the office door at about 9:30 p.m.
on April 5. The subject, Brian Woodward, asked for a courtesy ride to Dollar General. Sensing that something was just not right, Sgt. Jones ran Woodward’s name and date of birth through the PDs Mobile Data Terminal and it showed that Woodward had an active warrant out of Comal County for escape.
After verifying the warrant was active, Sgt. Jones gave Woodward his courtesy ride but it was to the Colorado County Jail. Sgt.
Jones said, " This definitely was the easiest arrest ever!”
