The theme of the My Dream Home contest is to foster the home’s importance and help people realize the dream of home ownership.
Entries will be accepted by April 25 and no later than 6 p.m. Contestants may drop off their art at the Live Oak Art Center on Saturday, April 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or Tuesday, April 25, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 1014 Milam St. in Columbus.
Judging will take place on April 28 and the exhibit will be open to the public on April 29 and will be exhibited until May 22.
All students K-12 may enter one piece of artwork. There is no entry fee. The work must be unassisted by a teacher or parent. However, verbal direction and advice are acceptable. There is to be no copying or tracing, bought kits or crafts allowed.
Prize money will be awarded for Best of Show Elementary entry, K-5 grade, Best of Show Middle School entry, 6-8 grade and Best of Show High School entry, 9-12.
