LA GRANGE – The Fayette Community Foundation (FCF) proudly announces that they will be hosting the second South Central Texas Rural Philanthropy Day (RPD) on Friday, November 3, at the Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange.

This professional development conference is designed to alleviate the strain on our local non- profits by building their capacity and strengthening their relationships with a variety of funders. No longer will local organizations have to spend hundreds of dollars to attend professional development conferences miles out of town, an expense many cannot afford. FCF is seeking to bring that education local while ensuring it is affordable.

At this conference, nonprofits will have increased access to resources that support sustainable operations to strengthen their social impact. Additionally, funders will be engaged with our rural community leaders to gain a better understanding of unique regional challenges and to discuss collaborative partnerships. As a result, the communities in our region will be directly impacted through the collaboration of engaged nonprofit profession als, community leaders and other statewide stakeholders.

There will be a welcome reception on Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Historic Casino Hall from 5 – 7 p.m. where attendees can check in early, win door prizes and net- work with other nonprofit orga nizations and funders. There are booths available for sponsors at the welcome reception for $100.

This is the second RPD put on by the FCF with last year’s event gathering 166 attendees with 30 funders represented and 73 nonprofit organizations repre sented. This year, FCF hopes to bring 200 attendees from all over South Central Texas to take part in this event.

In response to last year’s inaugural RPD, Kathy Young of the Round Top Family Library shared her experience.

“It was a phenomenal event! I’m inspired in so many directions because of the content provided and the opportunity to network.”

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at bit.ly/3M7H0OF, alternatively, you can purchase tickets on the FCF website at www.faycofoundation.com/rpd or on our Facebook page at www. faceboook.com/FayetteCommunityFoundation.
