A handful of tennis athletes from the area have been recognized for their persistent hard work in the classroom as they've recently made the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) Academic All-State team. This team was also an nounced by the Texas Army National Guard. In order to make the list, student-athletes must have an overall grade point aver- age of 92 or above.
Making the list from Bellville is Grace Motal (1st Team), Hope Luedeker (1st Team), Mallory Payton (2nd Team), and Abby Aschenbeck (ELITE). Repre senting Columbus is Madyson Carter (Honorable Mention).
From La Grange is Campbell Youens (1st Team), Lana Cheatham (2nd Team), Corbin Supak (2nd Team), Austin Ned - balek (2nd Team), and Anthony Weikel (2nd Team).
Qualifying from Schulenburg is Kenny Schramek (2nd Team), Kaz McBride (1st Team), Tamara Otto (1st Team), and McKenzie Kunschick (2nd Team). Rounding out the list from Weimar is Abigail Hilley (Honorable Mention).
