BLEIBLERVILLE - Over 19 emergency services departments streamed into Bleiblerville to fight a massive fire that torched a large residence. The multi-story house with adjacent two-story attached structures became fully engulfed in flames and the call went out from the Bleiblerville VFD for mutual aid.
The mansion-like home, situated at 8007 Krueger Road in Bleiblerville caught fire on April 21 and teams of fire departments fought the blaze and cleanup from 10 a.m. that Friday until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The cause of the blaze is under investigation according to the Bleiblerville fire chief.
Mutual aid to Bleiblerville was provided by Volunteer Fire Departments of Bellville, Cat Spring, New Ulm, Bernardo, Chappell Hill, Frelsburg, Garwood, Industry, Rocky Hill, Salem and Shelby. Sealy Fire Department, Brenham Fire Department and the Washington County Cert Team responded as well.
Other emergency services were the Austin County OEM, Austin County EMS, Austin County Sheriff, Colorado County OEM, Washington EMS Columbus VFD backed into the Sealy Fire Department’s bays to give back up to Sealy during the Bleiblerville fire.
