Wie Geht’s, Bellville?

RESS BELLVILLE – If you attended the Fruehling Saengerfest in Bellville on April 23, you would know the answer to the above question! Wie Geht’s? means, What’s Up? or How are you? And if you were at the Fruehling Saengerfest, you would say, Wunderbar!

RESS BELLVILLE — If you attended the Fruehling Saengerfest in Bellville on April 23, you would know the answer to the above question! Wie Geht’s? means, What’s Up? or How are you? And if you were at the Fruehling Saengerfest, you would say, Wunderbar!

The Bellville Lions Club, with its rich history of service to the community for over 80 years, sponsored this fun time event along with the Bluebonnet Chapter of the Texas German Society. Over $500,000 has been given to the local community for the past five years. The Fruehling Saengerfest is a great way to continue the tradition and to keep the tradition of singing German songs alive for future generations.

Along with a great German meal, the come-and-go crowd took in the sounds of the Round Top Brass Band and the Concordia Gesang Verein, a Bellville group.

Music kept the German in you doing the polka throughout the day.

There was plenty to do and hear at the Fruehling Saengerfest, and there could have been a little beer drinking along with it!

Too much food and drink can shrink your lederhosen!

Ich wunsche linen wunderbaren! For some of the unlucky few who aren’t German.

Have a great day!
