BELLVILLE — The Austin County Fair Association has announced rules for the Home Economic entries for this year’s fair in October.
Like last year, Home Economic entries for 4-H Junior/ Junior FFA, 4-H Senior/ FCCLA/Senior FFA, Open Youth, Extension Education, Open Adult, Flower Show & Fine Arts will be accepted on Monday, Oct. 9, from 4 to 6:45 p.m. and on Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
The Austin County Exposition and Convention Center will close at 1 p.m. and remain closed while the judging of the exhibits occurs.
All entry forms and tags for the Home Economics exhibits will be new this year.
If any repeat exhibitors have forms or tags from previous years, please discard them. They will no longer be accepted.
In addition, there will be a new auction joining with the Country Auction on Saturday, Oct. 14.
It will be the Youth Supreme Auction. Grand champions and reserve champions from different Home Economic, Fair Cup, Miniscape, Container Plant, and Ag Mechanics contests will have the option to enter their exhibit into the Youth Supreme & Country Auction.
