COLUMBUS — There was hardly a cloud in the sky but the thunder of exhaust pipes coming from souped-up trucks and tractors made it sound like all heck was breaking loose - and the crowd loved it. The weather was great, the trucks and tractors were fantastic and the stands were packed.
Each year, the event and the crowd keep getting bigger. This year was no exception when on May 5 and 6, at the Colorado County Fairgrounds in Colum- bus modified vehicles competed for points and pride on the Thunder circuit.
If you didn’t make it this year, make plans to come out at the beginning of May next year and bring the kids, too.
