Lady Horns softball has extended their 2023 season by winning two out of three games against Refugio High School in a playoff series May 4 and 5. After a relatively slow start to the year, Schulenburg has caught fire with an overall record of 19-9 and 8-6 in district. In the playoff series against Refugio, Schulenburg won the first game 7-2, lost the second game 6-7, and won the third game 9-1.
Key players in this series were Tamara Otto, Brianna Vavra, and Kassidy Kubala, who all racked up hits and RBI’s to put runs on the board and help lead their team to victory. Schulenburg has caught a rhythm at the right time and is a team to keep an eye on throughout the postseason.
