Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reported on Jan. 10, the Fayette County Narcotics Unit assisted the La Grange Police Department with a theft investigation.
The Narcotics Unit reviewed surveillance footage from 4 Peas Resale, where a theft had occurred from the business.
The Narcotics Unit was able to identify a vehicle and suspect from the footage. The unit then located the vehicle and suspect at a residence outside the city limits of La Grange.
The Narcotics Unit was able to obtain a confession from the suspect and recovered the stolen property, which was later handed over to the La Grange Police Department to return to the business.
The suspect, in this case, was placed into custody on outstanding felony warrants out of Fayette County.
Any Theft charges on this suspect will be pursued by the La Grange Police Department, as they have jurisdiction in this case.
