BELLVILLE — It was the cat’s pajamas at the Bellville Chamber of Commerce 100th Jubilee Celebration on May 4 in Bellville.
The Bellville Turnverein served as the juice joint for those who were on a toot. There was plenty of giggle water for those who came dressed in their glad rags and ready to shake some gams as a hoofer.
The Roaring 20s event was kicked off by a champagne toast for the good times rolling that would never end. The flash mob was an instant hit and brought smiles to everyone.
The award for Business of the Year went to Austin County State Bank. The award for the New Business of the Year went to The Gathery. The Non-profit of the Year award went to Austin County Boys and Girls Club.
The Legacy Award went to Kenneth Stein and the Volunteer of the Year Award went to Garrett Fuller.
The celebration was well attended and many got into the Roaring 20s theme.
