COLUMBUS –The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce they have chosen Brooklyn Eden, Columbus High School Class of 2025, as the new Junior Ambassador for 2023-2025.

She is joining the 2022-2024 Junior Ambassadors Talyr Tipton, Clay Kohleffel and Julie Ana Gobert. In their roles, these four students will become involved in many of the chamber’s city-wide events and will serve with the chamber as the face of Columbus.

Junior ambassadors have the opportunity to become involved in city-wide events and represent the community. In addition, they help support and promote business for the advancement of the entire community. After meeting specific requirements, Junior Ambassadors will be awarded a $3,000 scholarship for their higher education.

In her qualifying essay, Eden stated, “While some may say the secret to life is finding happiness, I discovered that finding purpose is actually the secret to happiness.

The more one gives back, the greater the purpose and happiness they, in turn, feel. I want to be the driving force and role model for my peers to find some way to give back to a community that pours themselves into us in hopes of encouraging my peers to do the same, creating a ripple effect for generations to come. I look forward to the opportunity to represent my hometown as a Junior Ambassador of Columbus. I may be able to do everything, but I can do something”.

The daughter of Jeremy and Michelle Eden, she is active in sports, FFA, Cards for Christ, and is a member of the National Honor Society and many other organizations.

“We’re grateful to the outgoing 2021-2023 ambassadors, Alley Fitzgerald and Lainey Schobel, and wish them much success in all future endeavors. Alley will be a senior at Columbus High School in the fall, and Lainey will be attending Texas A&M in the fall with a career goal of Business Marketing in sports. We are so excited to get to work with our current five am bassadors to support and promote business and to help advance the quality of life in our community,” said Janet Hollmann, events director and Junior Ambassador sponsor for the chamber.
