After earning a silver medal in last year’s state tournament, Meredith Magliolo from Schulenburg landed a gold medal in the 2A girls high jump competition in this year’s bout. Magliolo’s best jump was a 5-5 with the silver medalist grasping a 5-4.
Magliolo is also an outstanding volleyball player as well, helping her team to a state tournament on the hardwood in 2023.
She uses her height to her advantage while playing up front in volleyball and it also helps in the high jump with track.
It’s been quite the year for Schulenburg athletics with two state tournament appearances this year.
