The Flatonia High School baseball team has kept their mojo going with playoff wins against Freer High School May 11 and 12. The first game had a score of 5-0 and the second game was 11-2. A key player in game one was Beck Zimmerman, who went two for four with two RBI’s.
A handful of players contributed in the following game as both Zimmerman and senior Keyshaun Green tallied two hits each, then senior Dayton Cliffe had a monster game with three hits and five RBI’s.
Flatonia has Rodney Stryk at the helm and also possesses one of the best players in the country, sophomore pitcher and Texas A&M baseball commit Titan Targac. Targac is already showing MLB potential with his wicked arm at an early age. As long as Targac and crew stay healthy, this can be a team that heads to Round Rock for states as well.
