The Bluebonnet Master Gardeners, in conjunction with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension team, are pleased to announce our sixth year of holding Kids’ Kamp in Austin, Colorado, Fayette and Washington counties. This kamp is designed to be educational but fun with the goal of igniting a passion in the youth of our area for the importance and enjoyment of gardening through unique experiences.

This year, the kids will explore how plants evolve and adapt to survive (including Venus Flytraps), design and build their own terrarium with either a dinosaur or fairy theme, learn about spec- tacular butterflies, and investi - gate those amazing fleshy plants that can retain water in the most curious of ways… succulents!

As always, we’ll have outdoor activity time, nourishing snacks, and lots of fun.

Kamp runs for three days (Tuesday -Thursday) from 8 a.m. to noon on these dates:

• Washington County – June 6 to 8 at the Washington Co. Expo Sales Facility.

• Colorado County – June 13 to 15 at the Weimer Civic Center.

• Fayette County – June 20 to 22 at the Fayette Co. Extension Ag. Building.

• Austin County – June 27 – 29 at the Sens Center.

The cost is $30, plus processing fee per child. Kids ranging from 10-13 years of age will be eligible to register for these three-day kamps but space is limited to 15 kampers per county, so register early! Camp is staffed by volunteer Bluebonnet Master Gardeners and interns.

Registration forms can be completed online at https://txmg. org/bluebonnet/kidskamp/.
