Columbus High of ’53 celebrates 70th Class Reunion

The Columbus High School Class of 1953 held its 70th class reunion on May 13. The 1953 graduating class had 49 students with 14 members still surviving.

The Columbus High School Class of 1953 held its 70th class reunion on May 13. The 1953 graduating class had 49 students with 14 members still surviving.

This class was the first class to graduate from Columbus High School with 12 years.

Eugene Schobel was the valedictorian and Esther Faye Schindler Hodde (deceased) was the salutatorian.

The class has held its reunions every two or three years. The next reunion may be moved up to next year as students become fewer.
