HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLUMBUS TX

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLUMBUS TX

COLUMBUS — The Columbus Magnolia Days Festival was held this weekend, May 19 and 20 and it turned out like a giant birthday party.

The Colorado County Courthouse s-quare in downtown Columbus, was the site for the big 200.

The two-day event did not disapoint those who traveled far and wide and near and close. Mother Nature cooperated to the fullest. It was not too hot or too cold. It didn’t even shed a drop of water.

The festival, which used to be the Magnolia Homes Tour, went off without a hitch. The Columbus town square was packed with festival goers for a grand

cious goodies filling the yard behind the visitors center, games, bouncy houses, a petting zoo, rides, and two days worth of great music, Columbus was definitely the place to be this past weekend.

On Saturday morning, as a part of the festival, Hound Song Brewery hosted the first annual Magnolia Days 5k run. Kids ran one mile before adults ran the 5K.

The weekend's music didn't just provide attendees with background music for enjoying time together outside, playing games, and being with family and friends but also provided entertainment for all as each put on a great show.

As usual, friends used the annual event to catch up and reminisce.

The final show Saturday night was estimated to have more than 6,000 people in attendance.
