COLUMBUS - The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension office in Columbus will offer summer classes. The Leather Making Class will be held at the Colorado County Extension office at 316 Spring St. in Columbus starting June 19- 20 and 26-27. The classes will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is a maximum availability of 10 students. Students will learn how to make a leather picture frame. There is no cost for the classes; it is for eight years old and up. You must RSVP for each session. Contact Ja'Shae Horn at (979) 732-2530 for the leather-making class.
A Sew What 4-H Summer Camp will occur from June 14 through June 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Colorado County Sewing Lab at 316 Spring St. in Columbus. Participants will learn to use sewing terminology, thread a needle, choose threads, sew a straight stitch, sew a button, use a pattern, use sewing tools and tie a knot.
