Adam Schobel is the starting quarterback for the Columbus High School football team and can put his throws on a dime. Schobel has led his team to deep playoff runs in each of his last two seasons and has captured the attention of division one college coaches. Schobel currently has offers from University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), Sam Houston State, Oklahoma State, Houston, and Baylor.
It sounds like he will certainly play in college somewhere, but the question is if he wants to follow in his dad's footsteps and play in the NFL. Schobel's dad, Matt Schobel, is the head coach and athletic director at Columbus High School and played seven seasons in the league with the Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles from 2002 to 2008.
As Schobel still has plenty of time in his high school tenure for the 2025 class, the offers will continue to roll in for him. Whether Schobel has his eyes set on the NFL or not, the potential is certainly there.
