Special Response Teams serve drug warrants

SCHULENBURG – Fayette County Narcotics Unit, Austin County Regional Special Response Team, and the HIDTA Drug Task Force served a Felony 1 Manufacture/ Delivery of a Controlled Substance warrant Dec. 14, 2022, on a male subject at the Pilot truck stop in Schulenburg.

SCHULENBURG — Fayette County Narcotics Unit, Austin County Regional Special Response Team, and the HIDTA Drug Task Force served a Felony 1 Manufacture/ Delivery of a Controlled Substance warrant Dec. 14, 2022, on a male subject at the Pilot truck stop in Schulenburg.

A brief foot chase ensued through the Pilot parking lot into the woods east of Pilot and out to the I-10 Frontage road. The suspect was apprehended after resisting arrest. Investigators retrieved two bags of Ecstasy pills that they observed the suspect throw near the woods during the foot chase. Investigators counted approximately 183 Ecstasy pills.

The Ecstasy pills were also field tested by investigators which gave a positive test for Methamphetamines.

Shaquille Laquan Oliver, 28, of Schulenburg, was booked into the Dan R. Beck Justice Center in La Grange for two active Manufacture/ Delivery of Controlled Substance warrants; Evading Arrest Detention with Previous Convictions; Tampering with Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair; Resisting Arrest/Search/ Transport; and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
