Fayette County Fair scholarships awarded

The Fayette County Fair’s commitment to youth and edu- cation and the field of agriculture is best demonstrated by its scholarship program. In 2023, the Fayette County Fair Association will again continue its academic scholarship presentation.

The Fayette County Fair’s commitment to youth and edu- cation and the field of agriculture is best demonstrated by its scholarship program. In 2023, the Fayette County Fair Association will again continue its academic scholarship presentation.

The scholarships are designed to afford Fayette County high school seniors the opportunity to further their educational pursuits with scholarships for $1,000 each.

The scholarship tradition will continue this year to qualified seniors in all five Fayette County high schools - Fayetteville, Flatonia, Round Top-Carmine, La Grange and Schulenburg as well as home-schooled.

Criteria for the scholarships include academic profile, leader ship skills, sports, community involvement, work experience and/ or participation or involvement in the Fayette County Fair.

The 2023 recipients of the Fayette County Fair Academic scholarships are Round Top-Carmine seniors Kannyn Goehring and Charlee Wessels; Fayetteville se- nior Mackenzie Poncik; Schulen burg seniors Grant Kubala, Ta- mara Otto and Harly Zapalac; Flatonia seniors Macy Bonds, Dayton Cliff, Abegayle Drabek, Holden Kloesel and Aidian Miksch; La Grange seniors Kayler Burnett, Layne Huenefeld, Zach Janda, Avery Koehl, Rachel Matocha, Dulce Merlos, Austin Nedbalek, Raygen Pyle and Ellee Sodolak.
