WEIMAR - New police offi cers Robin Allen and Dalton Lee received their badges in a swearing- in ceremony performed by Municipal City Judge Linda Kobersky on June 5 at the Weimar City Hall in Weimar.

Allen, a former dispatcher for 10 years, was pinned by her husband, Dillon Allen. She hails from Wallis and will start patrolling the city immediately.

Lee was pinned by his mother, Joanna Mensch. Lee is the first ever City of Weimar-sponsored officer. He served six years in the Army before entering law enforcement. He, too, will be hitting the streets.

The pinning on of the badge is a time-honored tradition that bespeaks of the commitment that the officer and their family take together.

Weimar Police Chief Todd Jacobs, Sgt. Joshua Jones and Pa- trol Officer Jeremy Adams each gave a bit of sage advice for these newly pinned officers.

Weimar Mayor Milton Koller was present to witness the swear- ing-in of the officers.

This leaves the police depart- ment down only one officer but that position is expected to be filled soon.
