COLUMBUS — The Vietnam Veterans of America Post 1127 hosted their 3rd Annual Benefit Golf Tournament on June 10 at the Columbus City Golf Course. Fifteen, four-person teams, participated, on a perfect Saturday morning, to enjoy the competition for three-place prizes totaling $1,800.
Other prizes were awarded, as well as a barbecue lunch catered by Mikeska’s.
The shotgun start, at 8:30 a.m., was preceded by a ceremoni- al flag raising with a brand new America flag provided by Wood menLife.
All proceeds will be used to fund the VVA 1127 scholarships awarded each year to CHS seniors and to other local VVA 1127 projects benefiting local Colorado County veterans.
