COLUMBUS — The Columbus High School volleyball team went to their second state tournament in a row last year under head coach Kayley Johns and the Lady Cardinals still have the personnel for a potential thirdstraight trip to the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland.

Only having four seniors in ’22, Columbus returns most of their team from last year and they also have 6’1” senior University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) commit Ally Tribe. Tribe is known for being an outside hitter, but she can do just about everything on the court as she uses her height to her advantage. She also provides tons of power on kill shots while being the vocal leader on the team.

After posting a 45-4 regular season record in ’22 for a 91.8 winning percentage, the Lady Cardinals are likely to have a similar record in ’23.
