WEIMAR — Weimar Police Chief Todd Jacobs tendered his resignation from the helm of the Weimar Police Department effective July 14.
Jacobs had over 36 years of experience in law enforcement with eight of those years with the Weimar Police Department.
Jacobs said it’s time to move on and he will be taking time to think about leaving law enforcement after serving and keeping citizens safe for many years.
He praised his officers and saw the department moving in the right direction to better protect and serve.
