BELLVILLE — This Saturday, July 1, pack up the cooler and the dog to come out for lots of summer goodness and fun for the kids at the Bellville Farmers and Artisan Market from 9 a.m. to noon. Kiddos will enjoy free jumping fun with Lone Star Bounce House next to the Pavilion at Chesley Park, with a playground, walking path, gazebo and picnic tables. It all takes place under the shade of the Jim Bishop Pavilion and beyond. If you’ve not been before, this extended show is located where Bell meets Palm Street in Bellville.
This month even more area growers have been added to bring all the fresh summer produce, microgreens, and even fresh juices. With 45 vendors scheduled, there will be grass-fed beef, chick, pork, honey, eggs and pecans. Stock up for the Fourth with homemade bread, whole Fredericksburg peach pies, macarons, kolaches, cheesecakes, and other area baked goods. Grab a plate of barbecue and shop salsas, sauerkrauts, soaps, beard oils, homemade noodles, vinegars, sauces and more. Enjoy a wine tasting, cold brew coffee and ask for a custom fishing lure demo. Later, cool off in the 10 unique shops and two great eateries or the brewpub on the Square. Don’t forget we’ve got a castle, a bladesmith shop with tomahawk throwing and a jail museum tour on Saturdays too!
