What to expect from La Grange football this fall

Leopards football is going through a lot of big changes as the ’23-’24 school year approaches. La Grange recently hired Kyle Cooper as their athletic director and head football coach while graduating two division one football players in Jaren Woods (Baylor) and Bravion Rogers (Texas A&M). With Woods and Rogers being two huge losses, the Cooper hiring brings optimism to a new-look Leopards team.

Cooper spent his last two seasons at Ponder High School before setting sail to La Grange and also coached offensive line at Mount Vernon High School under Art Briles, who served as Baylor University’s head football coach from 2008 to 2015. Cooper had one of the best offenses in the country at Ponder, so that will certainly rub off on the Leopards when they have the ball in their hands. La Grange also produces some of the nation’s best football players such as J.K. Dobbins, who currently plays running back for the Baltimore Ravens. Then Rogers, who is going to Texas A&M next year, could’ve went to just about any school in the country. Exciting times are near for La Grange football.
