Quick response nabs three burglars

COLUMBUS — Colorado County Chief Deputy Troy Neisner stated that on Dec. 14, 2022, the Colorado County Sheriff’s Cavender Auto Country in Columbus.

The quick response by Deputy Tyler Pavlicek netted three suspects in an attempted auto theft. Deputy Pavlicek saw a vehicle parked near the entrance to Cavender on Old Alleyton Road behind the dealership.

As the suspect vehicle drove onto the road, Pavlicek initiated a traffic stop. One of the occupants' clothing matched the alarm company’s description when they set off the alarm.

Deputy Pavlicek also found a reprogramming key device and bolt cutters.

Deputy Pavlicek also noted the perimeter fence on the rear side of the business was cut and two trucks were entered through the back sliding glass window.

The three occupants in the suspect vehicle were arrested and charged with Criminal Attempt Theft, with a bond for each set at $70,000 by JP Billy Hefner.

Gladimar Juju Guerrier, 34, of Cabot, Ark.; Aleksandr Baranyuk, 26, of Villa Rica, Ga., and Rodolfo Garza, 34, of Proper, were arrested and released on bond the next day.
