Lady Lions on fire after injury plagued start

The Fayetteville High School girls basketball team has found their rhythm after losing their best player, Brooklyn Jaeger, before the season even started after tearing her ACL in a playoff volleyball match. Fayetteville is now 11-12 on the season with a 7-2 record in district after starting the year with a 1-11 overall record. They proceeded to win 10 of their last 11 games and look like a real threat if they’re to make the postseason.

The Lady Lions are led by head coach Marcus Sodek and junior guard Kayme Schley. Schley has been in double figures for a good portion of the 22-23 tenure and has a really nice jump shot. Fayetteville has obviously figured things out and are expected to keep rolling into February and March.
