DES MOINES, Iowa — Keegan Grissom recently traveled to Des Moines, Iowa, to compete in the 2023 USA Archery JOAD Target Nationals.
Day one and two of the tournament were qualifying rounds and Grissom placed third, earning a bronze medal.
Day three of the tournament was elimination rounds. Grissom made it to the gold match where he shot neck and neck with the gold medal qualifier. He came up one point short, earning second place, a silver medal.
Over 800 archers from all around the US attended this event. The archers are divided up by bow class and age division.

JOAD Club in Colorado County.
The club is managed by Ryland Hartman. They meet on Monday evenings at the Colorado County Fairgrounds in Columbus.
He is the son of Jerry and Lori Grissom of Columbus.
