EAGLE LAKE — Eagle Lake Noon Lions Club welcomed program speakers Ashley Pitre and Joseph Torres, new residents of Eagle Lake and owners of the nutritional smoothie shop “Down On 90.”
The couple related driving through Eagle Lake on their way to San Antonio and wondering if they could have the opportunity to live here and have a positive impact on downtown. They’ve done just that in their year-anda- half of doing the hard work of redesigning and remodeling the old Royal Cleaners building into a friendly Wi-Fi café with an energetic Nutritional Club atmosphere.
Every person who opens their doors is greeted with a shout-out: “Welcome to the Club!”
Their menu displays an inviting variety of super smoothies, signature coffees and frappes, plus deluxe waffles, protein bars and bites.
The couple gives back to the community by volunteering at the Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry and offering customers free in-house Fitness Days as well as a “Wednesday Women Walking in Faith” group open to anyone who wants to practice a healthy lifestyle by becoming more active.
