Bellville native and all-time leading rusher Richard Reese is swiftly becoming one of the nation’s most coveted running backs in college football. Reese was named to the Maxwell Award Watch List July 31 prior to his second season at Baylor University, which starts in about a month. The Maxwell Award is given out to the best player in college football for that season.
He was also ranked the 47th best quarterback/running back duo in the country alongside Bears redshirt junior quarterback Blake Shapen, according to BGB. As Reese surely wants to focus on the task at hand, he’s looking like a definite first-round pick at this point.
