COACH BRAD DUMONT
EAGLE LAKE — Coach Brad Dumont was the special speaker at the Eagle Lake Noon Lions Club on Aug. 3.
Dumont coached at Rice High School during the 1999-2013 school years. Then, he retired.
Last year he came out of retirement to become Rice Consolidated Independent School District's Athletic Director and Head Foot- ball Coach. Rice CISD is excited to have him return for his second year. Dumont is an "Old School Coach” who has proven to be a winner and a strong, positive leader to the athletic program. He and his family have always lived in Eagle Lake. He told the Lions, 'Being part of the community is so rewarding because I get to see kids that I coached back in the day who are grown and married, and now have kids of their own who are playing on the Raiders teams. Being back home at Rice has been great. I love Rice Consolidated. I bleed blue.'
Before he left the meeting, Coach Dumont invited everyone to come on out and enjoy watch- ing some games. "We're in for a good season this year. We've all made some strides and the other coaches and I are building strong programs. We've got a beautiful complex and I’m really proud of my staff. The kids have worked hard in the weight room and on the field throughout the summer.
