After making it all the way to the state tournament last year, Bellville (Class 4A), Columbus (Class 3A), and Schulenburg High School (Class 2A) volleyball teams have cracked the top 10 in the TGCA (Texas Girls Coaches Association) 2023 Pre-Season poll. This comes as no surprise with stellar seasons in ‘22, along with elite personnel still remaining for all three teams.
Columbus is led by 2024 University of Texas at San Antonio volleyball commit Ally Tribe and head coach Kayley Johns in the fifth spot, Bellville lands at three and has hall of fame coach Susan Brewer running the show, then Schulenburg’s strength is their defense with senior libero Kieryn Adams while holding the seventh spot in the poll.
These three schools have another great shot at making it to state and are expected to dominate the regular season at the very least.
