KIRKLAND, Wash. — The Greater Sealy Junior League softball team represented the Southwest region in the Junior League Softball World Series and didn't disappoint, finishing fourth overall.
After blowing out their first two opponents (Latin America and Europe Africa) by a com bined scored of 26-1, Sealy went down 7-2 in their next game with a loss to the East Region.
Sealy didn’t back down as they responded with a win in the following game vs the West region by a score of 7-3. One day later, Sealy won again in a close match with the Central Region at 5-4, then were defeated by Asia-Pacific 4-0 in the semifinal.
The tournament went from July 30 to Aug. 5 and was held at Ev erest Park in Kirkland, Wash.
