WALLIS — Cougars volleyball is a team to monitor in 2023 as they have a totally different look than last year’s roster.

They graduated five seniors in 2022, including strong outside hitters Jemma Zahradnik and Haiven Harris.

On the bright side, they still have senior setter Paige Demny, who’s notched 22 total assists in Brazos' first two wins against LBJ Austin and Smithville.

The Cougars currently sit at 4-6, but the fact they are able to rake in victories at the start means this team is only going to get better.

Head coach Amanda Hatton knows what it’s like to win and mustering some early success with a very young roster is a good sign for Brazos.
