Flatonia boys and girls basketball both dominating

The Flatonia boys and girls basketball teams are loaded with talent and good coaching, which has shown early in the year as they both have winning records well above .500. This could be the best boys team to step foot in Flatonia in quite sometime with senior Holden Kloesel back healthy after a season ending leg injury in the 2021-2022 season. The boys also have players such as 6’2’ senior center Jaidyn Guyton, who’s athletic and threw down a dunk during a game vs Rice a couple weeks ago.

Senior guard Keyshaun Green brings energy and athleticism while junior Duke Sodek exhibits his accurate range from threepoint land. Head coach Chris Sodek has been successful everywhere he’s gone and this could be a team that threatens for a state championship birth.

On the girls side, the Lady Bulldogs just acquired freshman Summer Sodek, daughter of Chris Sodek and brother of Duke Sodek. Summer is a taller guard who can do just about anything with the basketball and always

puts her teammates first. The girls are led by first-year head

coach Robert Gray, who seems to have things figured out already.

Flatonia hoops is in great shape and this should continue for a while unless any drastic changes are made to the staffs or rosters.
