Faith Academy Lady Knights varsity volleyball team defeated the Royal Lady Falcons Aug. 15 at Royal High School in Brookshire, 25-13, 25-16, 25-8. Senior Skyler Pyka led the charge with 13 service aces.
The Lady Knights were in Conroe Aug. 17 up against a very strong Covenant Christian team.
The Lady Cougars defeated the Lady Knights 3-0, (16-25, 23-25, 22-25).
“We are very young this year and still learning to trust each other and to play with confidence.
We will eventually break through that barrier and begin to see that we have the talent to hang with any team we are up against. Stay tuned….”
On Aug. 19, Faith Academy hosted the annual Lady Knights Varsity Invitational. The Lady Knights finished third in the tournament behind Conroe Covenant and Alpha Omega.
The Lady Knights recorded wins against Aristoi Classical Academy (Katy), (25-23, 20-25, 25-13) as well as Fayettveille High School (25-21, 25-18).
The Lady Knights player of the week was led by senior Alyza Marcotte (s/OH) putting up 34 assists, recording 30 kills.
