Lady Knights Volleyball pick up big wins !!
On Tuesday Aug. 22, the Lady Knights played host to Allen Academy Lady Rams. Allen Academy showed up ready to avenge last year's five set thriller that went in favor of Faith Acad emy. This match lived up to its
hype in what was point for point battle to the end.
The Lady Knights came out on
top after falling in the first set 1625. Then the next three sets, the
Lady Knights took care of busi ness winning 25-18, 25-20, 2826. Freshman Jayleen Jackson had her break out match leading the charge with 13 kills and 6 blocks.
Friday, Aug. 25, the Lady Knights faced off with Brazos Lady Cougars where they fell short in a four set loss against a strong Brazos team. (8-25, 2518,6-25, 7-25) The Lady Knights were then out to Conroe on Thursday and Saturday for the Covenant Chris tian Academy Tournament. Lady Knights went 2-3 in pool play with wins over School of the Woods and Lifestyle Chris -
tian. Saturday through Silver bracket play the Lady Knights advanced into the Championship Match falling to Alpha Omega in two sets 18-25 25-27.
“The wins we pick up are great wins. The losses we are facing are all close losses and is only maturing us and allowing us to believe we can go toe to toe no matter who is across the net. We are very young, and to be com-
peting like we have been so ear ly in the season shows a lot of
promise as we move further into the season," Faith Academy hosted Briarwood High School Tuesday. Aug. 29.
Then on the road to Grace
Christian, Thursday, Aug. 31 and Friday, Sept. 1, the Lady Knights
will be at Fayetteville High School for a 6 p.m. match.
Player of the Week, Jayleen Jackson, freshman, finished the week off with 38 kills, 14 blocks and 9 aces.
