Cougars football has strolled into ’23 with the same winning vibes as last year and an opening win vs Yorktown High School by a final score of 43-6. Brazos
held Yorktown scoreless in the first half, then sophomore quar- terback Jarvse Dickerson led the way through the air and on the ground with 125 yards passing and 188 rushing.
Dickerson also found the end zone four times on 24 carries.
Another top performer was Trey Gaston with four receptions and 88 yards. Brazos seems to have it figured out and with a statement win to open the season, the Cou- gars are on track to keep their spot as one of the best teams in the area.
