COLUMBUS — The Colum- bus Garden Club officers were installed at a beautiful and clever program this last June. However, the club takes a break during the summer. The first club meeting is in September and continues through May. Terms for the officers will be 2023-25.

Janet Johnson is the new presi dent of the club. She wore a bonnet full of sunflowers suggesting that she would like to bring a bright, sunny agenda to the com - ing term. Regena Williamson, as first vice president, wore a flowery dress full of possibilities for the Club to bloom with won - derful programs full of flowery knowledge. Nancy Galloway, second vice president, wore bright colors looking forward to a bright future in our fund- raising events. Jenny Pritchett, secretary, was "pretty in pink" full of promises to keep accurate records of our meetings. Polka dots on a background of black was the choice o Patti Schindler because as treasurer she always wants us to be "in the black" (not red) in our financial records. As reporter, Velma Harrington wore an "old fashioned hat" because she plans to report the news with old fashioned, straightfor - ward accuracy but sometimes with a bit of "whimsy." The club will be meeting the second Wednesday of each month, at 9:30 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 201 Veterans Dr. in the Lighthouse building in Columbus.
