Lady Cardinals volleyball is once again looking like a state championship team with pieces all across the board. 2024 University of Texas at San Antonio volleyball commit Ally Tribe has been towards the top of the team kill list, which is normal for the 6’2” senior. Arranging the kills is senior setter Sage Thomas, who has the ability to tally 40-50 assists a game as she put up 45 in a recent win vs Victoria West.
Head coach Kayley Johns always talks highly of her players and it’s deserved with how they play for her on the court. Johns preaches being a tight unit and it has led to Columbus going on a tear for at least the past few years. As long as Johns as in town, the team will continue to reap the benefits.
